Are Animated GIFs the New Standard Web Images?

It makes sense that articles that don’t have video will still enthrall viewers with moving images in the form of animated GIFs. Yes, it’s like seeing something shiny, grabbing someone’s attention. Like the overwhelming popularity of Jib Jab animated ecards versus the old Hallmark pansy flower cart, animating images makes sense in the evolution of the web, so why not get onboard? Who wouldn’t want a picture of their family dancing and laughing and other Harry Potter moving photos in beside frames? Well, it’s only a matter of time when that’s what your smartphone will do. Croatia-based digital artist Paolo Ceric creates mind-blowing animated art using a variety of software, including Processing and Cinema 4D. Back in the digital stone age of the 1990s, animating the photographic work of Eadweard Muybridge could be seen everywhere.  His photo studies of human and animal movement lended itself perfectly to animated GIFs.
